Creating, Collecting, and Curating
We are Hallie and Jett, the creators and owners of Mountain Muse. The idea for our small event rental and bartending business came about while we were planning our own wedding in the remote desert of Terlingua, Texas. With no rental companies around, we had to get creative with ideas about how to not only make sure everything ran smoothly but also give our guests an unforgettable experience. We fell in love with the event planning process and after our wedding just wanted to keep coordinating and curating the special touches that make an event unique, whether a dreamy bar to gather around, a bohemian lounge space, or a beautiful photo booth. With a the help of a small business grant, we used our combined organization and creativity to buildout an old horse trailer. We have been providing event guests with delicious drinks and laughs ever since.
We don’t want to contribute to the buy/ throw away waste stream that is common for events today. Over the past few years we have collected and up-cycled decor and continue to grow beautiful collections for new offerings. Our eclectic rentals and staging options are comprised of work by local artists, as well as vintage and up-cycled items. The most beautiful items have history and personality. Our commitment to authenticity sets Mountain Muse apart from other rental companies.
